The useful outcome

Your normal writing preference may be inappropriate for a particular client. Give the task-specific style and audience explicitly, and make clear that a one-off request should not become your general preference.

An example request

This is an illustrative request, not a customer result or a promise that every connected service supports every step.

For this client only, use a formal tone and full technical explanations. Keep my usual short reply preference for other work.

A practical sequence

  • Name the client-specific exception
  • Specify the document and intended readers
  • Review the result for the requested level of detail

What to check

Check the audience, jargon and length in the actual draft. The assistant should not infer sensitive client information from unrelated personal tasks.

A mistake to avoid

Do not store a client's project requirements as your own permanent personal preferences unless you specifically want that behavior.

Using Bris for this work

Bris is designed to carry useful preferences into later work. Tell it what should stay relevant, correct details when they change, and ask what it remembers before relying on an important constraint. A remembered preference is context; it is not permission to send, book or buy.
